Pros

The only pros were the employee discount and a few nice teammates.

Cons

You only get 3% commission, hourly pay is $4.50, you have to wear buckle clothing which means majority of paychecks go to keeping your job, in order to use your discount you have to spend a minimum of $50, management is no good, Teammates and leaders talk behind each others backs, it was just an awful experience. I'm glad I cut my time there short. The amount of work you have to put in for such little pay is not worth it.

Pros

40% discount Who doesn't like a good ol' discount?! Crazy people that's who!!

Cons

Ive had 2+ years in retail management and accepted a job as a part time sales associate at Buckle. They're main objective for sales associates is selling to customers of course!! I believe strongly in selling, especially customer service! When you start they make you watch a couple of short videos that do NOT tell you how to sell, it's just short films of people selling with no explanations.. (Which was OK for me because I have previous experience.) Then, they'll throw you out on the sales floor and say "go get em" You'll be on the floor with guys and gals who have been there for years and anytime someone comes in, they will tackle them like wild bears before you have a chance to say hello. So you'll have to be super aggressive ;D and when you finally catch you a fishy, another experienced associated will steal them away (of course to show you how to steal people because it's all part of working for buckle! Whoohooo! ) maybe you should go to management for advise? Alight little grasshopper "follow me" they will say.. As they sit you down in the back in front of a screen, they will tape back your eyelids. you'll watch the same video of someone selling to a customer, as if they expect you to write down the monolog and perform your script when a customer walks in. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION PEOPLE! When they throw you back out to the sales floor, eyelids aching, make sure get in character and speak with a super high pitched annoying voice just like everyone else (high pitched annoying cheerleader voice) ***because that's what customers like! Woo! Go buckle!! ***And then maybe, just MAYBE you'll get a thumbs up! Anyway you won't like working here unless you are looking for a career in acting. I hear it's a great start if you're trying to make it to Hollywood!
