Pros

The ability to work in a competitive atmosphere and on commission makes Buckle one of the best retail jobs a young professional can pursue. You learn more about business, communication with others, and about retail in general than you would anywhere else.

Cons

I had 3 manages in 4 years of employment. Turnover was bad from top to bottom.

Pros

Buckle really empowers its employees to become leaders and become successful sales people. You learn a lot and find potential you didn't think you had.

Cons

Upward movement is definitely not easy. Once I found out how long it took to become a store manager, I was turned off. I now work for Buckle 1-2 times per week to keep my discount.

Pros

Sucks, but it's a job...

Cons

Way, way too pushy on sales. I don't like having to force people to buy clothes that they don't want, especially when some customers clearly cannot afford them .I don't have it in me to to lie to a guest about a particular of clothing they like and tell them that they look good (when in reality, they don't) just to make they possibly buy more clothes from me just so I can make minimum wage ($5 base pay where I work).
