Pros

Great discount, get to work with people, good sales experience. Some fun people to work with. I usually never had to work past 10 which gave me some of the night. Fun at the start

Cons

Where do I start; I have worked there half a year and have been promised a raise and promotion for four months and have yet to see it! They want you to take home a leader book and do homework for 5.00 an hour. Even take time to do the book when you are supposed to be selling (the only way you can make some money!) I asked for a raise again and the manager says he cant do it with the pay roll it would be to high, then two days later highers another girl at 5.50 an hour, he uses the book as more of a way not to give you a raise then to train you. I have been top sales for my manager for 5 months and have made his store a lot of money and bring a lot of my friends into the store, when they used to go to a much bigger Buckle just a few miles away. I have even won Best sales in the company a few weeks ago, I dont think 6 bucks an hour is a lot to ask for. It even says it the recruitment book leaders make 6-8 an hour. He goes out of his way to not give people raises but to make them work more. WE have 5 leaders right now and are all promised the same thing as me and have yet to see any raise. We have the best selling team we've had since I've worked there, and his is about to lose all of us! You can make much of a living with 500 a paycheck every two weeks. He says no personal phone calls while at work but his girlfriend calls 20 times a day, and when you open the store and your 5 minutes late he reems you but 90% of the time your waiting for him and its no big deal. I have worked every holiday since of worked there(since Christmas) , close New Years Eve and open new years day, so i dont think its unfair to take Valentines day off in the book, he ignores the book and has me close that night, now i was one of three of a 9 member team with a girlfriend! So why would i work that night!? I have no idea what he was thinking and probably j.st didnt care/

Pros

There are amazing benefits for full time employees, the ability to climb the corporate ladder is dependent upon the employee's individual drive to succeed. The harder you work, the faster you climb.

Cons

Low pay relative to the work that's expected. Dealing with absurd guests gets very old, especially when pay is primarily based off of commission.
