favoritism and inconsistency in application of policies with employees within the same department . This happens frequently with"occurences" which are given to employees coming in a few minutes late to work or back from lunch. One employee will be given an occurence while another will not be for the same reason, depending if you are a personal friend or a "facebook friend" of a supervisor. Those that always chat it up or brown-nose a supervisor will be treated a lot better and have infractions and breaking of policies overlooked, and will even be talked to by the supervisor in a much kinder tone of voice. This is obvious to everyone. Also certain employees are allowed to text or to to notify their supervisor by facebook that they will be late-to avoid getting an occurence-others are not allowed to do this. so many "excuses" are made by a supervisor that apparently the policy or rule only applies to those the supervisor does not like.
