This is an industry which they possess a good reputation in and that will never go out of business. Corrections is a growing population.

Cons

The turnover rate is extremely high from entry level to executive. Unless you work for the corporate office in Boca Raton your desire to really progress within the company are slim. There are opportunities to move within the facility but the pay scale doesn't change much just the position. The staff is underpaid within the facilities and they are over worked.
