After 2 1/2 years, I would say that GEO is a good place to work if you like being dismissed/disrespected by other staff.

Pros

Job security, benefits, the department I work in is awsome and my co-workers are very dedicated and supportive, my supervisor is the bomb

Cons

benefits are minimum, they don't support employees who have been injured on the job, upper management and security don't support my department, the pay is about $15,000 less than a similar position on the street, facility is not handicap friendly, no raises in the last 3 years for non-custody staff, inadequate materials to do my job

Pros

I greatly enjoyed my time. Plenty of room to grow and be promoted. Transfer opportunities are highly available as well.

Cons

Lots of growing pains, but overall the people there are great to work with in all departments, including HR. They are very busy but do a great job.

great staff very knowlegable and respectable trustworthy and honest people show up and work as a team from minute one

Cons

cons would be some are unorganized some dont treat others respectfully and very few dont do their job to the best of their abilities
