Pros

You make a lot of money working here , depending on how much overtime you put in more or less.

Cons

The overtime is mandatory, so you’re working 5 days 12 hr shifts a week a minimum. Unless you volunteer to sign up for a 4hr, 8hr or 12hr shift on your days off. No advancement. Everyone makes the same amount no matter the years . You can be a LT but you go on salary and still have to work overtime unpaid . Officers are beneath them and we make more money than our supervisors.

Administration was very supportive in my previous role and helped me grow professionally. The job was rewarding both financially and personally. I recommend this job at this location to anyone interested in helping to provide the safety of all at this facility. It is a very demanding job, but with the right attitude and work ethic, you will go far with the support of the facility administration.

Cons

There is an old-school mentality of proving yourself worthy and fitting into the good 'ol boys club that I wish didn't exist, but I managed to navigate it. I found that this way was very prevalent in Arizona in general.
