Pros
- Good 401k program - Guaranteed hours
Cons
- Horrible Management This was one of the worst places I’ve ever worked in my life. I was a full time line cook worked 45 hours a week on average, was there for 10 months. I couldn’t even stay the entire year to get the 60 cent raise they give you per year (wow), because my boss in the kitchen was an absolute nightmare. Please for the love of god... if you consider working here, DO NOT!!!!! Work for the kitchen. The manager there will treat you lower than dirt, talk to you disrespectfully, (while I worked there the manager called me arrogant, lazy, said I was unqualified for my job, yelled at me, micromanaged every task I did, watched me work, would talk badly behind my back to coworkers AND residents, started a rumor I was sleeping with my coworker, would write me up for little mistakes I would make) that’s not even including how I saw her treat the residents or my other coworkers. When I spoke to upper management about it twice, they did not believe what I was saying and did nothing and nothing changed. I eventually ended up leaving because I was going to be starting school, and asked if they would work with my schedule a little bit, and they refused. They are also BADLY understaffed, across the board (I wonder why) and will expect their employees to pick up all of the extra slack of not having enough workers, but you also aren’t allowed to work overtime in the kitchen despite understaffing issue. When you inevitably get burnt out, because you will, they will tell you it’s your problem. They were understaffed the day I got there, until the day I left. I have also not heard the best work environment as far as the monitor station but I can only personally speak for the kitchen. This management is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced and I’ve worked many different jobs with good and bad management. All in all, coworkers are nice, benefits are decent, good 401k program, but management is the worst I’ve ever seen and avoid the kitchen position like the black plaque that it is. It is not worth the money.
