workload expectations are unachievable. employees forced to do things that can jeopardise their credentials. Management is pushed to be totall slave drivers and if you speak up make sure you have another job waiting. Not the ethical company they claim to be

Pros

Time off - 401k match

Cons

There is zero loyalty to long time employees. They are dishonest and underhanded. They pride themselves on being an ethical company, but they are anything but ethical.

Pros

Training was excellent (14 week in class training). Pay increase of $5k once you complete the training phase. Money was decent considering no past underwriting experience was required. Travel twice per year.

Cons

1. Underwriting is only half the job. They are more focused on the sales aspect. So it's really a sales job. 2. You are compared to your peers when all regions aren't equal. So you've got one person in an easy market selling like hot cakes and getting praise upon praise. 3. I normally hate playing the race card, but when I was hired fellow black guys warned me to watch my rear... which was strange as a good number of management are women. After a while I definitely understood it was a good Ole boy network going on. 4. Super clique-ish environment. 5. Work load is at times absurd. 6. Micro-managing was outrageous. 7.
