Pros

Teachers are given full reign to create and implement alternative curriculum. Lots of flexibility, amazing student population. New teachers will have to work very hard to create a harmonious atmosphere for themselves.

Cons

0% collaboration, lots of teachers working without certification, no raises, no benefits at all. You can pretty much take the CBEST and have your own classroom.

Pros

Flexible scheduling and opportunities to work in areas you want to enhance and continue professionally (i.e., client age range, treatment approach, assessment batteries). Great benefits as a postdoc (time off, health insurance, dental, vision)

Cons

Really no cons except the salary is on the lower end compared to other postdoc salaries in the LA area

Pros

Some employees are great to work with at the agency.

Cons

Poor Management from the top down. Executives don't care about any employee except themselves. Pay is not competitive - the TAs only make $12, but we are the ones doing the work with the kids.
