Pros

Wonderful colleagues. Smart, team players. Work makes a huge difference to the health of the planet. Flexible hours/location. Benefits are good. Mostly ethical.

Cons

Continual "re-organization" every year. Organization has a history (EEOC) of age discrimination and forcing employees out in an attempt to not pay severance. Every year colleagues with seniority were canned as a budgeting tool. Lots of diversity focus and splash on the website but very little actual diversity.

Good work environment

Pros

For the most part, TNC is a good place to work. The offer good benefits -- 8% 401k match after 1 year with vesting after 3 years. Offer a range of healthcare options and cover domestic partners. The people are really great, the work is important. Overall, a good work environment with flexibility.

Cons

Vacation time isn't great -- only two weeks when you start, eventually four. Not a lot of staff diversity.

Pros

Managers are inclusive in their decision-making. Very generous pay and benefits, and a focus on career development. Great work-life balance.

Cons

Same as with any large organization: most requests require a lot of paperwork and red tape.
