Pros

TNC does a lot of good conservation work and the mission really drives its employees. I found just about everyone there to be driven and committed to the work. A self starter with a good working ethos can thrive there... and generally I found management to be very flexible and accommodating as to working hours.

Cons

The organization went through some big changes and felt a bit bureaucratic at times. Really depends which part of the organization you are in.

Pros

Rewarding mission, opportunities to see and experience nature that TNC protects, excellent benefits, remote work opportunities, smart and nice people to work with.

Cons

There seems to be a lack of understanding at the executive level about how important it is for state chapters to have on-the-ground representation and relationships in marketing. It also feels like there’s a lack of understanding from the people at the top of how much time, effort and money it takes to implement work on the ground. The disconnect is disheartening and somewhat illogical, especially as we’re being encouraged to promote and uplift diverse partners, who take more time to meet and earn trust from.
