Pros

Great clients, great families, great therapist.

Cons

Administration is a disaster. They need guidance and training on how to treat people with dignity and respect. Bare minimum expensive benefits packages that offset compensation rates.

Pros

The clients were wonderful and the ASD day program was awesome. You get to collaborate with other SLPs and OTs, PTs, and BCBAs. I loved OT/ST co-treats. Lots of toys available for sessions, outdoor area and a wonderful sensory room/gym.

Cons

Late hours, limited flexibility with scheduling, limited time for getting paperwork done, noisy work environment, and a lot of social politics. If one person doesn’t like you, depending on their status you will suffer for it. A lot of gossip and cliquey behavior from the other adults that work there. There is no HR to handle workplace issues, and seniority/interpersonal relationships tend to be favored in those situations.
