An Endless Downward Spiral

Pros

The Post employs some of the smartest people I have ever worked with. They also care passionately about the mission of The Post, and about supporting each other.

Cons

The culture is irreparably toxic. Leadership (VP and up) is consistently dishonest, egotistical, and has no interest in growing or supporting the people they manage. In the tech org alone, there has never been an all hands meeting in more than a year where the CTO didn’t outright lie. And if you need further proof, see any reporting on Will Lewis … the morally bankrupt fish rots from the head. Also, don’t expect to climb the ladder here … It is incredibly rare that top performers are promoted or recognized … the company would rather hire someone new than acknowledge good work.

Pros

You have smart, talented people to work alongside. At least until they all leave after recent announcements.

Cons

RTO 5x a week in Feb for managers and June for all. Message was delivered with very little information less than 48 hours after the election. People poured their hearts and souls into helping users understand the election cycle and our thanks is you’re not doing enough and we want you all in the office. No evidence given that it will make us better. No regard for the upheaval in all of our lives. We are not treated as humans. Everything is about faster deliveries and cutting corners
