Pros

The YMCA offers a great working environment for students looking to gain experience in a non-profit organization. The hands-on training left me much more prepared for entering the workforce.

Cons

One of the downsides about being an intern is that you end up doing some of the more menial labor, but that is to be expected with any internship. The positives definitely outway the negatives.

Pros

It provides a fun environment. They have flexible scheduling especially for students. There's some oppurtinity for advancement, and you get to make a difference.

Cons

The pay is not ver good or competative, there's some opportunity for advancement, but not much. You are sometimes put in stressful situations, and I don't think the training is adequate.
