Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your time at ThoughtSpot didn’t reflect the environment we strive to build. We’re proud of the great people you called out—especially our hiring managers—and are glad you found value in our health benefits. That said, the concerns you’ve raised, particularly around layoffs, leadership, and inclusion, are serious and not taken lightly. While we know we’re not perfect, we’ve taken steps over the past year to improve communication, strengthen leadership accountability, and foster a culture rooted in trust, intensity, innovation, and customer obsession. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or bias, and we encourage anyone—past or present—to report issues so we can take appropriate action. Feedback, even the tough kind, pushes us to do better. If you're open to it, we’d welcome a conversation to learn more.

Pros

Healthcare is very good Learned a lot from former leaders Original product is still good

Cons

Industry for analytics is tough. Very saturated. No real differentiation or need for customers to change BI tools. Extremely hard product to sell. The biggest issue is the new CEO. Huge ego. Very rude. Nobody wants to work with him and the reason why so many are leaving.

Thank you for your honest feedback and the time you invested at ThoughtSpot. We're glad to hear that your experience with our earlier leaders and product left a positive impact — and we agree that the foundation they built continues to be a strength. We recognize the analytics space is competitive and constantly evolving. That’s exactly why we’re innovating beyond traditional BI, with a platform that combines AI, search, and embedded analytics to deliver differentiated value to our customers. Change at the top can be polarizing, and we understand it takes time to build trust. Our leadership team, including our CEO, is focused on listening, learning, and driving the company forward with clarity and conviction. We appreciate your perspective and wish you all the best in your next chapter.

Pros

Thoughtspot is set to become the new gold standard in the BI/AI industry. The company has a lot of great talent and extremely smart people. The culture is great at the individual contributor and mid/senior management level. Salaries are great and benefits/flexibility is also outstanding.

Cons

Too many recent org changes, specifically at the C-suite and VP level. This has created a lot of uncertainty and fear amongst employees. Previous leadership made some really big mistakes that the company is now having to deal with and overcome - everything is slower now. Product has way too many defects and previous leadership did no care enough/invested in current customers -- got completely rid off Customer Success at some point leaving all their clients on their own.
