Pros

Some excellent technical consultants who can really impress clients in discussions. Good pub culture for socialising with colleagues.

Cons

Senior and sometimes not so senior Technical Consultants can be very arrogant and don't understand wider business implications. Large Clients can not easily change their whole way of working to adopt TW methods. Neither can all projects be super cool! It is a bit like a private club for people who have been there a long time. Do not cross the wrong person!

Pros

A company that hires the best of the best to deliver compelling agile software development and management services to its large global client base. A very fast paced environment that is stimulating as well as demanding. Probably the smartest people I ever worked with.

Cons

Full of cliques. Chicago is the center of the universe. Lots of competition for thought leadership. A few sacred cows that are untouchable. Some mid-level managers are real dinks who are fairly dysfunctional. Helps if you are fairly political and can survive in that kind of an environment.

Pros

This used to a great place to work at a few years ago. But manipulative and toxic "leaders" in India have really made the company go through an identity crisis of sorts. The saving grace is the technically competent developer folks that work in this place.

Cons

The vocal people are a great example of empty vessels making the most noise. The old timers are literally messing up the system by discouraging laterals and demotivating any effort by a lateral hire. There is a mafia that runs the entire system in India. If you are not part of that clique, then you are in big trouble. The arrogance of these few has made a lot of others have scant respect for the company. The leadership team suffers from acute cronyism and the People Champion role is mere eyewash.
