Pros

Good people. Really good people. Both technically, and just really chill to work with, talk and find mentorship from.

Cons

100% travel really takes a big hit to your social life. So many changes, you need a neck-brace.

Pros

- You get to work with and learn from very smart people. - Excellent work culture. Thoughtworkers work hard and then have fun harder. - You get to travel a lot if you don't mind traveling.

Cons

- Thoughtworks is full of very out going and opinionated people. So sometimes it's hard to get appreciation for your work if you are an introvert or don't make a lot of noise. - You are not paid for over-time but are expected to consistently bill more than 40 hours.

Pros

+ The people are smart, fun, sensitive, warm, always hungry for more challenges... they keep me learning! Some of my best friends are ThoughtWorkers or ex-ThoughtWorkers. + Opportunities to learn... I came in w/o a technical degree and through training, pairing and coaching, I've been able to perform well in many roles over the years (QA, BA, IM, PM). The first time I wrote an automated script I felt empowered and thought I could do anything! + Connection to our mission to improve the world through software... I've learned and grown so much as a human being. I am more aware about what's going on in the world that I have ever been. + Variety of projects... I've been able to work in different industries... retail, telecom, healthcare, energy distribution, energy transportation... + Really enjoy working with a diverse group of people... ThoughtWorks makes real efforts to recruit/retain and create an inclusive environment where people can be themselves.

Cons

- We're a growing company but our internal systems and processes haven't caught on with our size and our ambition. We need to fix that so that our people (our most valued asset!) don't fall through the cracks.
