Pros

- Some very smart engineers to learn from - Some of the clients are interesting

Cons

- Cult like management, Client Leadership Teams (CLT) - Promotions and pay increases are mutually exclusive, you are better off getting promoted with a raise elsewhere - 100% beholden to client's ways of working, belief system. Engagements feel like staff augmentation. - So much lip service about DEI, harmony, inclusion, etc but it's a publicly traded company trying to make money. They will, and have, furlough you, belittle you, lay you off in an instant.

Pros

They talk a good talk. Very intelligent people. Free coke in the offices. Some fun home office days.

Cons

Opinionated, you are expected to believe what everyone else believes. Reverse hiring, worrying more about hiring the right deomgraphic as opposed to the right person. The company wants to feel like they are

Pros

ThoughtWorks is great at helping clients and cares about making a difference through social activism. Very intelligent technical minds. Great group of diverse people from all over the world.

Cons

Consensus decision-making creates unnecessary levels of bureaucracy. 100% travel burns great ThoughtWorkers out and makes it difficult to recruit top engineers. Very political organization. It's about who your know. There is a sense of entitlement with long-time ThoughtWorkers.
