Great company culture - fun, inclusive and collaborative The benefits (aligned to Cisco policy) are brilliant Interesting and market leading technology

Cons

Some teams have had to return to office ~1 day a week which doesn’t suit everyone.

Pros

ThousandEyes is one of the best companies I have worked in. My experience here is pretty much a 5/5, but there is room for improvement, which should be reflected in the review. Let's go through the pros: - The people: You are working with a really talented group of engineers. There is always someone with the answer to what you are looking for. Pretty much everyone in the company is nice and willing to help but, like everywhere else, some people could work on their soft skills a little bit more. - Learning opportunities: It's easy to learn something new if you push for it. There are a lot of challenges in ThousandEyes trying to be solved, especially around scalability. - The product: You are working on a product with many users, so you can see the impact of your changes and the feedback from customers. You will also learn a lot about networks, no matter the team you are in. - The culture: There are events going on all the time: All Hands, Hackdays, team activities... - Your wellbeing: Some of the managers and the big leads care about you and your wellbeing and there are resources for whatever you need. They are also quite flexible with your needs, and always open to help. - Transparency-ish: In general terms, the company is transparent. Leads answer the most controversial questions in the All Hands and always encourage to reach them out to help them make things better.

Cons

- Some of the managers: It depends on the team. You can be lucky and work with some of the best managers you have ever worked with, our you can end up in a team with managers that (seriously) need to do better. Some of them have the experience to be managers, but not the soft skills needed for the role. If they get better at this, the employee experience would be way better. - Priorities: Priorities are some days clear and some days not. It's a fast-paced company, and there are a lot of things going on inside (Cisco's acquisition, new big customers, new features to release, customers-specific requirements...). Trying to keep all of this up is hard, and it has an impact when defining the priorities because things are constantly changing. This is a big problem in the work-life balance and it also demotivates people seeing how some of the projects they were committed to never end. - The "ish" in Transparency: Some of the biggest decisions made by the company were not shared as they should have had. The CEO addressed this problem later on and that was greatly appreciated. These cons are the main reason why this company is good but can be better. I would say the rating could be a 4/5, but the company is open to feedback and changes, and hopefully willing to deal with these problems.
