Pros
Working for TiVo! Fun working in the consumer field. Lots of different technologies in one position. Cute 1990's-style building. Take free TiVos home to "test".
Cons
It's a bit sleepy. There is a customer base, it's not really going to grow. Maybe a cable company here or there. There's a thought that it will advance into the "cut cable" environment, but to do that would risk alienating TiVo's big customer base, the small-to-medium cable operators. Just as how TiVo didn't implement the 30-second skip to keep from ticking off Hollywood (it was always available as an easter egg!), so too will they not be able to move to the "Cut cable" realm until everyone else expects it.
