      Pros

      Fire and replace leaders. Start with marketing. Great people with solid family oriented culture and energetic focus on engineering and delivery. Was a fun environment to work for until new head of marketing brought poor chaotic leadership and DISH Network values to the company.

      Cons

      No vision. No desire to create real products for customers.

      Pros

      Lead engineers in development teams are very competent. Principal engineers are accessible and are great resources for junior engineers.

      Cons

      There is a lot of attrition. The support teams are understaffed and poorly trained. Management doesn't appreciate the need to service technical debt. The quality and roles of manager vary significantly within the organization. There is often a desire by managers to delegate responsibility (i.e. give dotted line authority) to technical leads.

      Pros

      Lot of talented engineers and experienced Directors to lead the way Work pressure is minimal Being a mid-size company, you get good visibility

      Cons

      CEO is still focussed on Cable Operators and Cable Television, while the rest of the industry is focussing on building technologies focussed on Internet based Streaming (easily evident from the every dropping stock price) Along with the highly talented Architects, Principal Engineers and Directors, there are also people who make you doubt if you chose the right company to join
