      Pros

      Great people, great place to work. I really enjoyed going to work. People were very collaborative and supportive. The benefits were great.

      Cons

      The company is growing slowly and with unclear direction from senior management. There is little opportunity for growth. Also, there aren't very many places to eat close by.

      The company size feels just about right. There's still somewhat of a startup mentality/feel and there are opportunities to make a big difference. They recognize those who put in extra effort.

      Cons

      Too many layers of management in some orgs and they too often seem to make decisions before consulting the technical experts.

      - Challenging problems to solve - Many quality peers to enjoy working with and learn from - Company is flexible on many aspects of work (such as work from home, work remotely) - Pretty good benefits - Working on a real product with real customers

      - Difficult to work with legacy code base - Many incompetent peers make some tasks frustrating - The inevitable question at parties: "You work at TiVo? They're still around?"
