Great place to work!

Pros

TierPoint truly puts its people first. I have worked in many places where work/life balance was a focus, but it always felt forced. At TierPoint, work/life balance isn't a focus, ...because it isn't a question. The people at TierPoint genuinely care about each other. And when you care about people, their emotional, mental, and other peripheral health are naturally a priority. And TierPoint has a culture where caring about each other is just a natural consequence of the environment. We are a team, working together for a common goal. We don't fight and undermine just to get ahead. Credit is given where credit is due, mistakes are owned and forgiven, and growth is rewarded. I've worked n places where getting a "Thank you" from a boss was a pipe dream. But until TierPoint, I had never worked in a place where my great-grandboss regularly provides positive feedback and appreciation directly to me!

Cons

Folks at TierPoint wear many hats. If you are looking for a place where you have a set set of tasks that you perform every day, do your job, and go home, this isn't it. TierPoint is a place for those with an entrepreneurial mindset. Working here means that you are joining a team, whose focus is to reach goals together. Sometimes that means taking on extra responsibility because you're the best one for the job, not because its a black and white responsibility you signed for. But again...the rewards for your efforts are well above par.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! We appreciate you acknowledging our efforts to provide a culture of flexibility because we know that everyone has a life outside of work. You are absolutely right that TierPoint is not for everyone, but rather for those who want to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. Thank you for all your hard work and all that you do for TierPoint!

Pros

Warm building to go into? I suppose.....

Cons

I have to let the world know about this horrible company. I've been over 30 years into my career now, and this is absolutely, by far, the most horrendous place I have ever been. Things couldn't get much worse, let's just say that. Management is derogatory, condescending, and narcissistic, with a hint of passive aggressiveness. Tierpoint calls itself a high tech company. That is a joke. their idea of security is to disable it when things don't work right- (They rarely do.) As other reviews have mentioned, they don't have enough people in the trenches fixing problems. Everyone is overburdened and worn out. The benefits are horrid. You would honestly get better benefits working at McDonalds. Check your offer letter if you get that far. If you are desperate for a job, skip over this one. If you think the Interview went well, read the negative reviews here and think again. People really are leaving by the boatload, and for good reason. The CEO is a slimeball who would rather keep a penny in his pocket than to toss one in the water fountain..... (He's a Billionaire--! Look it up.....) I'm about to throw in the towel. All the meetings say things are going great, they're getting better etc..... Nothing is getting better. This place runs on a shoestring. They could improve in literally thousands of ways, but they choose not to. I urge you to read the negative reviews here, and then make an informed decision about the poor choice you were about to make. It's 2020. Make this your year by not working at Tierpoint.

The Worst Ever....

Pros

There is a kitchen on-site.

Cons

Everything else. No paid sick time, so the whole office is sick between October and March. No rollover vacation time. The worst managers I've ever met (And I'm over 30 years into my career) Churn and burn is the rule rather than exception. Turnover is astronomical. No Competitive advantage from anybody else in the space. False promises abound. The company is going to be sold soon. I would avoid it at all costs. The positive reviews here are by upper management, and I would surmise recommended by Jerry the CEO himself. A terrible CEO as well. He praises the culture "now" but it's worse than ever. Low morale abounds. Highly NOT recommended. Look elsewhere. Anywhere else.
