Pros

They offer paid on the job training and don't require degrees/certs, which is nice.

Cons

Pay is lacking. They haven't increased base pay since at least 2019. Significantly below average salary, even when you account for them losing some money to on the job training.

Pros

Remote work option. Good training structure to handle many types of customers so there's always a challenge, at least for the first year or two. Although I am a computer science student in college this was my first IT-related job, so there is no programming or coding involved but it's great for building a resume and humbling you. This was a great stepping-stone to make it to my next software development internship at another company.

Cons

Speaking to customers about easy computer-related solutions, sometimes all day. Cant take a lunch shorter than 1 hour. Working from home and not speaking to any of your peers outside of chatting in teams is quite isolating. Some problems with customer computers or software are recurrent and redundant and everyone knows about them (DocuTap froze) but someone along the development cycle doesn't want to patch these issues. It's good for me because I keep my job fixing simple issues but I sympathize with the customer that it should be a permanent fix.

Tension-filled environment

Pros

Decent commute from my home to the office.

Cons

Many days it felt like I was back in junior high school, i.e. the same mean-spirited nastiness, indirect aggression and power play tactics, competition for senior leadership's attention/approval.
