      Pros

      many of the team members worked hard and were very capable.

      Cons

      Too many politics in HR leadership. TOXIC environment. Performance reviews include letter grades which only one person from the past received an A. Bonus is given based on reviews but employees are reprimanded and compared based on their grades. HR leaders should operate and lead with integrity, empathy and ethical. Disconnect between ByteDance and TikTok.

      Good package. No other pros

      1. 996 working culture 2. Very less ppl speak english. All the meetings and documents are in Chinese 3. No transparency in the project and leadership 4. Most of the project is managed by CN team. Very less control with US teams 5. No diversity

      - Harassment from management - Toxic and racist culture - All global security leads are white. they recruited a few minorities to pretend to have diversity - Very bad practices such as doing secret investigation on employee - Fake package when you get hire (giving you shares with no value, bonus only for friends..) - Meeting at 1 and 2 am
