      Pros

      Everyone is very committed to the growth of the company and focused on their individual objectives. In certain departments, roles aren't fully developed or defined yet which is beneficial for young professionals looking to steer towards their strengths as they develop at Toast. Culture is a huge part of the company and something they actively look for in recruiting. Execs are trying to keep the "start-up feel" as we grow over 1,000 employees - shown in unlimited vacation days, flexible hours and social events.

      Cons

      The high-speed growth is not for everyone. If you are looking for an established employee base, this is not the place for you. Approximately 50% of the employees have been with Toast for under a year. Compensation could be better, you would hope that as the company continues to succeed, salary increases closer to industry standards. No 401k packages are a bummer, but it has been a focus for some time now and we have been reassured they are looking into it.

      Pros

      I started working at Toast in June ’18 and I have loved every second of it. Senior year of college, I had a pretty brutal job search, but could not be happier where I ended up! I remember being almost confused at how helpful and positive management was (and still is) in the beginning because I had no idea what to expect - this being my first office job. This is a place where you’ll get unrivaled resume experience - working at a $1.5B SaaS startup in Boston. The sales floor culture at Toast is fun, young, and ever expanding. There’s also something to be said on career progression here. Talk about a company that promotes from within — I’ve already seen several friends of mine get promoted from the program we’re in now to a closing role as an AE, and I’m certain I’ll get there too. The office isn't bad either - full pub access, lots of gifts/events, napping rooms - cool stuff!

      Cons

      There’s a ton of change. Toast is different every week, but there’s also a lot of value in adapting to change. Some of what we do as BDRs is experimental, and that’s something you’ll find at any new company.

      Pros

      Toast looks out for all employees no matter what position you hold within the organization. Everyone wants to see you grow and succeed. By far the best company I have worked for.

      Cons

      I don't have anything bad to say about Toast and their mission.
