      Pros

      - the vibe of a startup even when they grew massively over the last year - really interesting projects - extremely collaborative and great environment to work in

      Cons

      - had some mild sexism from some of the workers

      I also love that we still have a start up vibe despite our growth and maturation. I think that this is a huge part of what makes our work culture so unique. That being said, I'm concerned about your comment regarding mild sexism as we do not tolerate it in the workplace.       Great Culture, Smart People, Hard Problems

      Pros

      I work with people smarter than me every single day. This company is full of experienced, educated, and motivated people that want to make the life of a restaurant operator better. I am empowered to balance my professional and personal life and I feel respected even though I have been with the company for <1 year. While the idea of a restaurant seems simple, the problems they face every day are incredibly complicated. The restaurant space is extremely diverse and full of wildly different restaurants. We are building a horizontal platform that would provide for every aspect of running a restaurant....it's hard haha.

      Cons

      Toast has a startup mentality & culture for sure, but that being said, they are definitely growing up. When I joined it had just stopped being the Wild Wild West, where everyone is working on everything, and if something needs do be done then you just go out and do it. The company has become more organized (which is probably a pro for some people, but when you're expecting something different it is more of a con)

      Flat hierarchy, great execs & management vision and mentorship

      Pros

      Did I mention great mentorship? Everyone is generous with time & knowledge, and is committed to helping others along. I find that really valuable and unique!

      Cons

      There are always endless projects to take on, since there is so much happening in the company... not always a con though, since nobody forces you into extra work that you don't feel committed to.
