The pay was awful and didn't really make up for the long shifts, management was absolutely horrible. I once had my direct supervisor tell me that I should get my cat lead injections after telling a co-worker that the cat had kept me up late at night. At one point I applied for another position within the company and was told I would recieve the outcome by the end of the week, I wasn't told anything for two whole months until I asked someone in upper management and was told that my manager was supposed to inform me that i didn't get the position. Was asked to drop back to casual at one point and when I said that I didn't want to, my hours were cut and were constantly being changed the night before a shift (for example I would be rostered on for a Sunday shift and on Thursday night my supervisor would change my shift to 8am on Friday, the very next day) with absolutely no communication whatsoever. After saying no to dropping back to a casual position, I was essentially bullied by my supervisor in what I believe was an attempt to make me quit my job. I had asked my manager for further training in the department to which i was told that that would be done by the supervisor after a few months in the position and never recieved any acknowledgement from my supervisor about that. After a few weeks of putting up with this I was let go and I while i wish leaving the company had been of my own choice, i have never been so relieved.
