Pros

The company is employee owned, and I feel that by doing my best, I'm helping myself, as well as everyone around. I can see by actions that the leadership cares, and is continually thinking about the best interest of the company.

Cons

Work environments may vary wildly, as many employees are scattered throughout different locations.

Pros

There's a lot to be involved with , both at work and in the community. Most of the employees at Corporate that I've encountered are friendly and helpful.

Cons

The benefits and pay are sub par for singles, especially single parents. I have only been with Torch a few years but have never felt so under valued. I have had some issues with a customer and when I sought help/advice, I was basically told to suck it up and deal with it, that the customer matters more. I do not feel supported by management and truly feel that because I am not a big player in the game, I don't matter. I'm sure once you matter enough, you will enjoy the company. But as of now, my benefits and pay do not make up for the struggle and frustration. I am very disappointed because all I ever heard was how great this company was.

It is difficult for any organization to be perfect, but we are always disappointed to hear when anyone has formed a negative opinion of our company. As an employee-owned company, we work very hard to provide our fellow employee-owners with excellent opportunities both professionally and personally. Just a few examples include working with employees each year to develop career goals, conducting voluntary training sessions open to every employee-owner, and also hosting 16 employee morale and welfare events throughout the year for employee-owners and their families to enjoy and to maintain a good work-life balance. Because we are all owners at Torch, we also encourage our employee-owners to take advantage of our open-door policy to communicate their goals and concerns with any level of management - even with our CEO. While there is always room for improvement, we believe that our approach to open communication creates an empowering environment for our employees. We also believe that this is one of the reasons Torch was recognized again by Fortune and Great Place to Work as one of the nation's best workplaces for the third consecutive year and why Torch consistently achieves one of the lowest voluntary turnover rates in our industry.
