Hard Work Pays Off

Pros

This is a job that has a ton of potential if you are willing to put in the time and effort. It is pretty much an entrepreneur role, where you are starting a business from the ground up. Training is 26 weeks paid, where you are paired with an established broker who will show you the ropes along with a planned regimen for sales & logistics training given by the company. We make sure that you are trained on what you need in order to be prepared in sales. High energy, high drive, strong work-ethic individuals do very well here. You have the opportunity to make a lot of money at this company and commission is uncapped after the 26 week training period. Most of our leaders are promoted internally, so growth potential with leadership is promising if you have interest in becoming a leader here as well. This is a sales & growth-focused company, which inherently has its challenges. You must be willing to put in the extra time in order to see success here. If you do not have a strong work-ethic then it is probably not the role for you. You do not need to have a logistics background or even a sales background necessarily to be great at TQL. This was my first job out of college and I've been with the company for over 6 years. This company has changed a lot of lives, including my own. Highly recommend this role to competitive and driven individuals who want to earn success.

Cons

Not necessarily a Con, but more of a challenge - you will need to dedicate a good bit of time and effort to do well, as stated in the Pro's section.

Pros

-Culture/ environment -Management -Celebrate small wins & show that hard work is appreciated -Make some of your best friends that you get to work along side

Cons

The only downside is if you don't have the correct expectations of the position or company. This is not a place you can sit and expect things to come to you. You have to put in the effort and work hard to succeed/get where you want to be. With that being said, hard work is rewarded and recognized. As long as you have realistic expectations up front, you will be well prepared. You have to have a solid work ethic and be hungry for success. Business will not fall in your lap.

REVOLVING DOOR

Pros

Great culture and fun environment. Good leaders willing to help you.

Cons

As someone who graduated from a good University and coming to work here out of college, it was great when I started. As you keep working there they tell you to hit more numbers call call call and harass people to work with you. The thing about this company that I noticed in my first 6 months of working there is that the brokers that have been there for years who have already gotten good clients and large accounts rely on people like me to come work on their account for 6 months and hire another laet after your time, They give you the resources to build a book but just because they are the 2nd largest 3pl doesn't mean they are the best. You will call and call and get told off so many times. People don't like TQL they have a bad reputation. Whether it's bad communication, double-brokering, backdoored. The chances to become successful in this company is like winning the lotto. You have to be so lucky to close a good customer or if you stay there long enough you will get a bunch of accounts inherited from people that were smart enough to leave. For 40k and the amount they expect you to do is unreal. Working 2 Saturdays a month is beyond me. I found a job that pays more and is M-F and have to make half the calls TQL wants you to make as well as commission right off the bat. Don't go work for this company. Quitting TQL was the best day of my life. Most of the people that I knew that worked there or I met there don't work there anymore. It's just a REVOLVING DOOR.
