Pros

A position that makes you feel like you are making an impact. Great for gaining experience working with children or ASD (or other developmental disabilities)

Cons

- Higher up's do not respect those in the BT position - Corporate values, not great for those in lower positions (you are their pawn) - Cant go full time at this company - will expect you to make long commutes (wanted me to drive an hour and half M-F to a client) - Worked at the company for two tears, when finding out that I was drastically being underpaid (they were paying incoming BT'S with no experience or certification $2 hr more than me) They do not like to discuss pay. - Care more about making money than providing great service to families and employees - lack of support - Supervision (practicum) is a joke unless your supervising BCBA is fantastic.

Pros

Mileage reimbursement RBT test reimbursement flexibility

Cons

no opportunities for raises Poor training - you’re trained for a week online then thrown into your first session in home with no support. BCBAs are hard to reach for support. Finding coverage is merely impossible resulting in lots of cancellations. No sick pay when out for covid exposures or sickness.
