Pros

Talent pool. State of art analytics infrastructure. Access to large pool of industry data. Exposure to product and industry solutions development. Exposure to consumer credit industry. Excellent Health Insurance and 401(K) contribution.

Cons

Limited growth opportunity after a certain level. Discrepancy in salary. Sometimes things can get tricky and political.

A Work in Progress

Pros

Tons of investment in acquisitions and new products, which creates a lot of excitement about contributing to meaningful growth. Excellent networking opportunities outside of one's department, like women's networking events, diversity luncheons, and volunteering. Quarterly corporate town hall meetings and monthly departmental meetings to keep all employees aware of the big picture. Chicago office location and facility amenities could not be more convenient or inclusive (gym, sit-stand desks, free coffee, etc.).

Cons

Hopeful that these things will diminish as the culture continues to shift: Number of employees coasting with lackluster performance and minimal oversight is far higher than should be allowed, particularly amongst more tenured staff. Too much top-heavy hierarchy at the moment (i.e. too many layers to executive staff; too many VPs and directors with only one or two employees, if any).

Pros

I cannot think of any pros for working at TransUnion. In fact, I would never refer anyone to work for this company.

Cons

Too many politics and it's difficult to advance to the next level. Most people who are in management positions were with the company for more than 20 years. By default, they advanced to the next level.
