Bad company politics

Pros

Pay and family time was amazing

Cons

In my opinion, working for Transdev, contracted for Waymo self-driving trucks, was nothing short of a nightmare. This company systematically undervalued and mistreated contractors, hiding behind "PC culture" to marginalize anyone they deemed unworthy. The environment was suffused with fear and exclusion, creating a profoundly toxic atmosphere. Contractors faced relentless aggression, pressure, and hostility. The lack of support and respect made it nearly impossible to perform our duties effectively. Now that my NDA is up, I can speak openly about the hostilities, racism, and rampant prejudice that were a daily reality at Waymo. They treated truck drivers and software operators like dirt. It's a disgrace that such open discrimination and hostility are still tolerated. Companies must foster inclusive and supportive atmospheres where all employees are treated with dignity and respect. Calling out such injustices is not just necessary but imperative for creating workplaces that uplift rather than demean. Put one positive note while the contract lasted. We did get paid well and didn't have a high work week. A lot of it was wasted time because upper management did not know what they were doing and could not siphon a schedule that made productivity. They wasted so much money on stuff that should have never been in thought.

Pros

There are no pros!!!!!!!!! Garbage.

Cons

Entire management are related with the exception of a few. Employees who are related to the management sleep on the clock consistantly. I got hired at 20. Shortly after coming in they gave raises to all the old sitecoordinaters. They weren't able to do anything other than 2 jobs because they weren't trained to do anything else. Your more trained than them and get paid less. Not to mention the 2 jobs they can do they do half the job and definatley are not competent. They have people who get paid 28 an hour and will literally sit and shoot the bull with the management for 6 hours of there shift while the whole depot is crashing around you making your workload twice as hard. Basically if your not willing to ball wash you ain't getting very far. Your work ethic in this job doesn't matter. So if you work hard this is not the job for you. On several occasions I would finish my work and then get sent to another depot to do somebody else's due to that person's incompetence. Top all of that off they started new site coordinator at 22 as well. So not only am I lowest paid but one of the hardest working until I figured out it's pointless. The whole place is unorganized with poor inventory and management and just all around lazy and sloppy work ethic that has become a habit to several of these old employees. I also got exposed to blood. They made it clear they don't give care about the saftey of me or my family when they didn't take me to get treatment. I asked for it and they basically told me I could go home early to seek medical treatment or stay and sign a wavier stating I'm refusing medical treatment. Being it was the day before Thanksgiving I got messed out of my holiday pay.
