Work Culture Review

Pros

Employee Health and Dental Insurance are covered. Most underwriters are great people hold fast to camaraderie and strong collaborative efforts.

Cons

There is no such thing as work life balance here. You work 20 hours per day, 7 days per week, most departments run skeleton crews, does not hire enough underwriters to account for the overwhelming amount of accounts that need to be analyzed per underwriter. Regional Directors and VPs hold fast to a tyrannical management approach and are down right verbally abusive. Unfortunately all upper management (Regional Directors, Chief Officers, and VPs) makes the workplace a toxic work culture.

Pros

Dedicated to "doing the right thing".

Cons

Opportunities limited in the Twin Cities, Minnesota offices. Most opportunity is in Hartford, Connecticut or New York, New York.
