Pros

The best reason is expanding your skill set. Travelers will do whatever they can to make you better and make them money!

Cons

They are a what have you done for me in the last 10 minutes kind of company. You could be the best new business Account Executive for 3 straight years and the first time your numbers slip they quickly forget the past and beat you up until you either quit or get fired.

Pros

Travelers offers competitive pay and job security. Travelers is also a great place to work because of the people. It was rare, if it happened at all, that people lost their jobs at Travelers. Job security allows people to focus on their task rather than worry if they will be given a box and a pink slip.

Cons

One downside is that Travelers will probably never be the forerunner of the insurance industry. Management heavy like most large companies.
