Retail robots

Pros

Paid holidays, some good coworkers.

Cons

Trek wants mindless retail employees. This is not a bike shop, this is a front line retail environment similar to working at The Gap or any other mindless retail environment. One week we are to focus on numbers and metrics only to be told the week after that its all about "culture". People that buy in and become Trek robots are favored. Company retail is growing too fast, training centers are staffed with employees who are almost as fresh with the company as the trainees.

Pros

The benefits are nice, health care was alright.

Cons

I'm not sure if this was standard among all corporate stores but no sales commission.

Pros

Overall a very professional organization, especially compared to small bike shops. Great discounts on bikes/parts. Training is heavily encouraged but the contents are valid and useful.

Cons

Corporate style duties. Strict on policies.
