Worst job I have EVER had
Pros
Met some wonderful, amazing people that made each day being there worth it. Learned a lot about construction terminology and things I did not know before. Learned to stay away from warranty rep positions.
Cons
I was excited and ready to learn all I could and be the best CCR out there, but that quickly changed after experiencing everything. -Management does not train new hires. New hires are trained by actual CCRs, each week its someone new. This makes it hard to really learn the position and do well because each CCR has their own ways of doing their job. - Management comes and goes as they are super busy so you hardly ever see them. The only time they reach out is when someone on your own team reaches out to them sharing a homeowners complaint about not being responded to for awhile, yet you took over your team mates ticket to help but when it was sent to you, it had already been a couple of weeks. They were already upset, which was not communicated from my team mate. - My team mates were always stressed out and hating life, and ready to throw whatever tickets they had your way, regardless of you being new and still learning, they send tickets with no communication about it and god forbid the ticket is sitting in your name for more than 3 days. Management will reach out and make you feel bad and fearful for your job. - The CCRs are taken for granted, no appreciation ever shown. Everyone is burnt out, over worked and looking for other jobs every day. - Management will take any homeowners word over their own CCRs word, regardless of the situation. - Management has favorites and will jump to conclusions if any of the "Senior" reps mention anything THEY dont like about the new hires, Management can becomes secretive and form an alliance in which they want everyone to be on the lookout for you. Which I found out through loyal team mates because my manager was asking to "keep it between them" - low and behold I was doing what I was supposed to be doing and my manager felt like an idiot for investigating something that didnt need to be investigated, all because a "team mate" of mine shared her "concerns" in which she didnt like me from the Gecko. - I was written up after being there 3 months (Still new and learning) to find out it was from their misunderstandings and not communicating with me to first talk to me about it and ask what happened. I was rathe, randomly surprised with a meeting invite to meet with management so they could write me up. - There is A LOT to learn when your new to this industry. But you are given two months with no actual training program to handle a minimum of 40-50 tickets which most are from your teammates that have 90-100+ tickets. I quickly learned the amount of tickets each CCR had was way to much work for one person. Everyone is over worked and management continuously questions you and watches your every move. - I was laid off after being there 5 months. Only to realize that I was hired right before the end of the year in which they are required to close so many homes. Once the year came to a closing, I was then laid off...
