If you are someone who enjoys being on the water for extended periods of time then you will enjoy this job.

Cons

I was going from boat to boat for 1-2 days at a time. Some boats treated me with respect while others did not.

Pros

Trident is a family company and a leader in the Seafood industry and is set well for years to come! Many people stay here for years so there is a lot of tenure. Trident is also poised to continue to grow and be around for many more generations.

Cons

Competitive salary and personal growth plans are lacking in many areas of Trident and many get stuck at the bottom or at best middle management. The "pros" of having lots of tenured employees can also mean the "cons" of good people fall through the cracks and leaving. Being a private company the HR department doesn't have as much power as it should. A few bad apples have ended up being in higher management and making life much harder for those beneath them.
