Need stable leadership

Pros

Great people, interesting product line, good pay, casual environment, opportunities for international collaboration.

Cons

Constant changes in leadership means we are always scrambling to reinvent the wheel. A leader who will be gone in 18 months has no real interest in the long term success of his team. This "transient" attitude has resulted in a short term focus on revenue generation - at the expense of long term client relations.

Pros

Many small business units, many development centers around the world, and international relocation opportunities. Very interesting product line, and opportunities to be involved in cutting edge technology. Trimble develops very good engineering platforms.

Cons

Poor market strategies, not very customer focussed, generally follow the "make it and they will come" philosophy. Extremely focussed on quarterly numbers, which drives a lot of very near sighted decision making through out the business. Very secretive about remuneration policy, salary grades, and performance incentive plans. Remuneration may not reflect changing job duties and responsibility, nor market rates. Office conditions in some sites are poor.
