Pros

Most of people are just super great people to be around and work with. Subject matter is very interesting and has the potential to solve real world problems.

Cons

Outdated tech stacks. Management not open to updating to the latest patterns, technologies, tech stacks available. High value placed on embedded engineers, but not so much application engineers. Management seems to have an unspoken initiative to offshore a majority of client-side application code to India. Layoffs/RIFs seem frequent, over 7 significant RIFs in my short 6 year tenure. Most of this is from over-leveraging debt at the corporate level.
