Pros

I worked for Trinity Health in multiple capacities over many years and was deeply committed to the organization’s mission. I had opportunities to lead meaningful work related to colleague engagement, leadership development, organizational culture, retention, and operational improvement. I also worked alongside many talented, compassionate people who genuinely cared about their colleagues, patients, and communities. Pros * Strong mission and commitment to serving communities * Opportunities to work on complex, system-wide initiatives * Many dedicated and highly capable colleagues * Exposure to leadership development, change management, engagement, and healthcare operations * Potential for meaningful work when leaders are aligned and supportive

Cons

Cons My experience ultimately revealed a significant disconnect between Trinity Health’s stated values and how those values were consistently demonstrated in practice. Leadership quality and employee experience varied considerably across departments and regions. Communication was often unclear, decisions were not always transparent, and accountability did not appear to be applied consistently. Employees may be encouraged to speak openly, raise concerns, and promote a positive culture, but the environment does not always feel psychologically safe enough to do so. In my experience, relationships, leadership dynamics, and organizational politics could carry more influence than facts, documented performance, or an employee’s broader contributions. The organization also experienced frequent restructuring, shifting priorities, and role ambiguity. These changes could make it difficult to maintain continuity, build trust, or understand how decisions were being made. When concerns arose, processes intended to support fairness and accountability did not always feel timely, objective, or employee-centered.

Pros

The Call Center can be relatively low stress during the daytime on weekdays. Evening and weekends are a bit more demanding. For how busy it can be it can also be just as slow so there is often time for a cool down or relaxing for a few moments.

Cons

Poor job training. Many people only get a few days of training and are then put on the phones and expected to handle any type of call that comes in, and if a question is raised to another employee or who ever is taking point, the their first response is usually to look it up among the dozens of different documents available that you barely had time to look at during training while on a call.
