Pros

- Ability to work with some high tech toys - A few departments have excellent management, but they are by far the minority

Cons

- 80% of management has been in place for a long time, so they're essentially "tenured." Half of them are very good at their jobs, half could be replaced by inanimate objects. But the overwhelming majority of management here are extremely abrasive. In any leadership position, you either rule by respect or rule by fear, and management here is a textbook example of the latter. Most of them would've been fired multiple times over if they'd worked anywhere else - By nearly every metric, this is a toxic workplace - Going above and beyond doesn't get you praise, it gets you the question of "why didn't you do this sooner?" This encourages mediocrity at every position - Management seems unable to accept that there are limits to the amount of work that can be done within a normal workweek - Safety department is great, but management will try to cut corners with any employees not working regularly on the shop floor - Machining jobs are paid at sub-par rates, which holds back the entire department from picking up the right employees for the job - HR department is an absolute joke and will do nothing to escalate things to corporate when it really is the right thing to do
