Pros

Pay is ok for a pretty easy job. Glorified baby sitter in the kitchen for inmates. Learning recipes, portion control, inventory, food cost, orders, sanitation, etc.

Cons

Upper management sucks. They fire the ones who actually care about their employees by false accusations. Management is on call 24/7. If an hourly can't work then manager has to come in to cover shifts. Upper management takes credit for good things but have no problem throwing those in lower positions under the bus. No such thing as having holidays off. Oh and working with inmates can be a con but it's not always so bad...you do have your knuckleheads.

I enjoy the people I work with everyday. It is not an easy environment to work in but my co-workers are awesome. HR is pretty cool too.

Company has being going through some merging, and company is going in so many directions is not fun, everyday rules change and don't know where you stand. I really don't recommend this company since expectations are really unrealistic and their turnover is high
