Pros

Fellow employees are wonderful to work with.

Cons

Company drives you like an animal. They expect a lot of work from you for little pay. They only worry about the bottom dollar.

Pros

No stress atmosphere, average pay, yearly merit increases. Excellent benefits after 90 days. Extremely busy during peak season (possible OT)

Cons

very little room for advancement, very few climb the 'career ladder'. No sick time for hourly employees. Everyone at the branch level is laid off for 2 months during the winter, with the exception of management and essential office staff. Random lay offs during the remainder of the year as well, without notice.

Pros

Decent pay, work doesn't start until noon, good training, boss doesn't breathe down your neck all day

Cons

Everything else. The management at TruGreen is utterly clueless. They aim for the amount of sales with not a care in the world of how much revenue they bring in. Big surprise, sales were up, but revenues were through the toilet. The entire team was nothing but a bunch of backstabbing liars, and the branch manager where I worked was the worst two faced SOB I have ever seen. They'd pretend to be buddies with you, but then spread lies, rumors, and talk badly about you behind your back. The managers favored the liars and backstabbers most. There is no place for an honest employee at TruGreen. The way management would treat employees who are quitting is the worst. They make a big show of it, making sure to humiliate whoever is leaving in front of everyone else. They do this to set an example to the rest of the team. If you are going to quit, drop your stuff off at the door and leave a voice mail. Then take off before anyone sees you. At TruGreen, you aren't a person. Just a tool. Feel free to apply to TruGreen if you don't mind being used, abused, and degraded on a daily basis, 6 days a week. Otherwise, stay the heck away from these snakes.
