Pros

The benefits are great though the Health Insurance costs did go up for 2020 after the merger (SunTrust / BB&T). The people on my team were fantastic to work with. Everyone pitched in and helped each other and that includes reaching out to other Lines of Business and IT teams. There was a LOT of flexibility regarding telecommuting but that diminished after the merger.

Cons

There are significant changes going on due to the Merger in December and many processes, team composition and structures are in constant flux. Most SunTrust teammates live(d) in Atlanta and most BB&T associates live(d) in Raleigh-Duram. The Truist headquarters is now in Charlotte, NC and people are being asked to relocate. There is concern that over the next 18 months more people will be asked to relocate and that upward advancement or a change in position will require a relocation. Telecommuting is not supported well and it is not desirable to upper management - video conferences is not available in most conference rooms.

Pros

My team mates were great people

Cons

Agile was not being practiced there; as a result I was a glorified secretary. Sexual harassment was reported by more than one female employee. Negative environment, highly toxic.
