Pros

The work was easy and there was a lot of down time.

Cons

There is a myriad of things I can said. about this company, but I'll just name the top few: this company is very unprofessional. They have a very high turnover from tellers, to assistant managers, to even staff in branch administration, and the IT department. They do not have an efficient training program and they often throw people in their job with no knowledge of the job and blame you if you make a mistake on your first week. There is a lot of abuse and mistreatment of their employees and it just gets swept under the rug. You have no rights if you are a teller or assistant manager because anything you say that conflicts with your branch manager or anyone higher up, you get retaliated against and you cannot defend yourself or have your story heard. The company uses extremely outdated equipment and goes by rules that have been outdated from as early as 2005. There are constantly angry customers due to the high turnover, inconsistency in customer service and problems that cannot be solved.

Pros

I would say it can be a good stepping stone to something bigger.

Cons

In the beginning, you think "this isn't as bad as some people said" then you realize there is a tight-nit group in Branch Administration that lack common sense. They are supposed to manage the branches but fail tremendously. They lack people skills, they take things personally if you question them. They will single you out and if you are smart and call them out on their BS they will make sure either resign or get fired. They have different rules for different people. They will even tell you to lie to the higher-ups in order to show everything at the branch level is okay. You will always be short-staffed, ill-equipped and stressed out. If you love your sanity please be aware, they have no loyalty you can make every goal and customers could love you but if for any reason branch admin doesn't like you, you will become a target. This company has old technology in every aspect, not even 3rd world county banks use the software these guys use. Its all about saving money and making the company rich, they will do the bare minimum for the customers. NO ONE will ever admit their mistakes, they will shift blame like no other. There are too many politics & power-hungry people who let that power get to their heads. Thank God I'm out of that place, I feel like a burden has been lifted from my chest.

Pros

Scheduling, nice environment, good for learning about banking business.

Cons

Pay rate, lots of personnel rotating through the branches, they don't train people for their positions good enough. It's and old bank in a lot of ways, they need to update on many levels. Working at the customer service department you realize how bad some things are done in the branches, mostly because of unexperienced employees who don't know what to do and don't ask before acting. There's so many ways they can improve and get better but i don't see that happening anytime soon.
