Truveris went from a friendly, fun place to work with a very positive outlook into the future into a far more corporate atmosphere with heavy weight consultants coming in to help decide who stays and who gets the chop. There isn't enough investment into the happiness of its people like before. A lot of talented people were let go and the rest were discouraged enough to leave to better firms. A couple senior people are paid a lot to stay and attempt to motivate what is left of their team. It really feels like a sinking ship and morale is at an all-time low. The business is divided into two groups with very different cultures and no collaboration between the two. The engineers feel overworked and their leadership keeps changing. There's just not enough free snacks in the world to fix the culture and morale issue. Does senior leadership even care? If you don't have gray hair, you're just a pleb. Many people also took a pay cut to be here for the benefits of being with a start up.

- big waves of layoffs occur too often because of a constant shift in leadership and complete lack of business sense. company direction changes constantly. leadership is very opaque to the rest of the employees about the status/health of the company - new CTO clearly has his priorities elsewhere. he oversees/advises several other companies in some capacity which means he can never give his full attention to the company. he has laid of a ton of engineers in favor of bringing in Ukranian contractors. i've been told that these contractors are coming from a separate company which he also runs. seems like a pretty big conflict of interest to me and a pretty shady thing to do - they will underpay you by a lot unless you speak up or threaten to leave - Company peaked after a big deal with the state of NJ. The momentum was completely lost and there was never any follow-up. Should have sold when they had the chance. Truveris is not a unicorn company and will never be close to one. - office was incredibly cramped and several promises of re-locating to a bigger space were never met (although with all the layoffs and outsourcing theres probably a surplus of space now) - seriously feels like leadership is doing everything they can to avoid fixing the core issues while they try to sell themselves for much more than the company is worth. company has lost all momentum and i don't see them getting it back - for a company with an enormous insight into the insurance industry, the employee health insurance plan is pretty bad
