      Pros

      - Flexible - In charge of your own schedule - Get to work with great students - Good Team - Tuition remission benefit totaling 20k annually (grad degree) if you qualify

      Cons

      - No real room for advancement on this team - Pay, New Orleans is an expensive city - It's in Louisiana and has a racist history that it tries to reckon with. In some ways it has advanced but still has a long way to go (that's probably higher ed in general)

      Pros

      It's nice enough to live in or near New Orleans. The library is very good.

      Cons

      The pay is criminally low for non-tenure track faculty. The administration is always looking for ways to squeeze teaching faculty. By and large, the students are lazy, entitled, and not ready for university-level work. Tulane is the classic 'hospital system with a football team' university.

      Money was decent, benefits great.

      Cons

      They only care about public perception, not the truth. They allow racist and lying police officers to remain and those officers who speak up against them get fired.
