      Too much work for not enough money

      Pros

      Benefits are excellent. Experience in a diverse population. Knowledge of a variety of skills. Multiple resources for departments to communicate effectively.

      Cons

      Little to no growth opportunities for career advancement. Extremely low on the pay scale for full time staff members with very unique skills and knowledge of operational policies and procedures. Leadership roles by some faculty are used to intimidate employees causing an unhealthy balance of work-life.

      Pros

      The work culture can be OK depending on department, the salaries are OK for New Orleans Tuition waiver is great if you need it.

      Cons

      Salaries are low compared to remote jobs and annual raises don't keep up with inflation. Aside from tuition waiver, benefits are mediocre.
